The database provides information on corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, and limited liability partnerships, including:
- current entity name
- date of organization
- jurisdiction, if other than New York State
- county location
- service of process location
- current status of the entity
Entity information may also include name and address of the chief executive officer and the principal business location.
Copies of documents filed with the Division of Corporations (such as certificates of incorporation, articles of organization, etc.) may be obtained by submitting a written request to the Department of State.
